I don't read much erotica myself either. It has to come HIGHLY recommended by someone I trust for me to even THINK about giving it a try. The one time I stepped out of my comfort box I read Fifty Shades and regretted it!

Amen! Great answer. I hate erotica and not because I'm a bug prude. ;) I hate it because it's horribly written and the authors aren't in it for the art but the money.

That is one of the genres I don't read either, along with a few other ones.

Ahh now, I used to work in a bookshop, many moons ago...and late one evening I caught a chap who'd managed to get himself locked in with us after hours...doing something...unpleasant...over the erotica section. That memory always stays with me and completely puts me off the entire genre!!

Yep, that's the one I said I wouldn't read either. But if we could have listed a second one I probably would have said books with vampires and zombies. (Classics such as Count Dracula excluded, but I haven't read that yet.)
