You Know You're a Book Blogger When ...
6:30 AM
... you come home from a 10-day vacation to find 53 review books waiting on your doorstep and in your mailbox ...
Yes, really.
My husband snapped these photos of my unwashed, ticked-off looking self picking up our accumulated mail/packages on Saturday when we returned from a 10-day trip to Utah. I'm not sure why I look so bothered, since I was actually as giddy as a little kid at Christmas. I guess that's what 10 hours in the car with five kids (mine + a friend) will do to a person!
As much as I love to travel, it's also really nice being home—especially when I have lots of fun packages to open. I won't be melting in this Arizona heat for too long, though. The fam and I will be boarding a plane bound for upstate New York on Saturday. After a week of sightseeing, I'll return home, hopefully to another awesome book haul :)

Comments make me feel special, so go crazy! Just keep it clean and civil. Feel free to speak your mind (I always do), but be aware that I will delete any offensive comments.
P.S.: Don't panic if your comment doesn't show up right away. I have to approve each one before it posts to prevent spam. It's annoying, but it works!

ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed your vacation (or holiday as we would say here in the UK) as well enjoy your upcoming one too.

WOW! I can't wait to see what all you got. Have fun in New York. I went to college in western NY, and I loved it. Wish I still lived there.

Welcome back...for a minute!! What a bounty awaited you. Ànd...don't worry about not looking happy about those little lovelies waiting in your mailbox...even blessings can begin to look like burdens after a car ride with other said "blessings"!!! I can't wait to see what are in all of those packages!!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. I just love it when I see a package poking out of my mailbox in the evening when I get home. It really is a little bit like Christmas. Happy reading!
ReplyDelete53?? Jeez, that's more books than I usually read in a year. LOL! What a thrill to come home to, though! =D
ReplyDeleteWOW that's a ton of review books! AWESOME, but how do you ever keep up?
ReplyDeleteHave a fun, safe trip to NY!
I don't know how you do it all! But that does look like Christmas in July to me. Have a great trip and good luck with the new stash.
ReplyDeleteYou do look kind of grouchy for somebody carrying an armload of new goodies. :) But I guess a long car ride with a bunch of kids will do that to you. I hope you got good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI have NO idea how you keep up! Or read your wn books.
ReplyDelete*own!
