I agree! Even Changing Hands, my favorite local indie, has two branches and their vibes are completely different. I love all bookstores, but I definitely prefer the Tempe location of Changing Hands to the Phoenix one.

Pretty much anytime I hear about a book I think I would like, I throw it on my Goodreads TBR list. That way, I don't forget about it. It doesn't necessarily mean I'll ever read it, but it's on my list in case I want to check it out. Only about the first 50 books on my TBR are in want-to-read order and I keep changing the order, so my lists are basically always in flux. I don't take them too seriously!

Sometimes extra cards come in handy :) Back before my daughter entered high school and started having such a heavy academic load, she would read like crazy - even faster than I did. We needed both cards to keep up with our habits :) These days, she uses her city library card and I keep her county one just in case I need it!

True! Everybody and their dog has the same kind and color of minivan that I do. I actually do check the license plate before I get into a silver Sienna. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally tried to get into the wrong one!

It absolutely should! Maybe not as full as my house, but still ... if I don't see any books at someone's house, I automatically assume their aliens. What other excuse could there be for having NO BOOKS in the house?

Vanity license plates must be an American thing. Go figure! Some of them are really clever and fun, others are ambiguous, and still others are super obnoxious. It costs a bit more to have a personalized license plate, but I like mine, plus I paid extra for a plate that supports education with money and exposure. There are a bunch of organizations that offer plates - a portion of the cost is donated to that organization.

There are countries here where you can choose part of your plate but, in Germany, for instance, the beginning shows your district and then you have a letter or two and then numbers. Sometimes you can choose your letters.

Ha ha. Well, mostly it's because I live in a place where I have access to both a city library system and a county. It's nice because between the two of them, I can usually find any book I'm looking for.

Ha ha. I like my county library (which is about 20 mins. from my house) a lot better than the branch of my city library (which is 5 mins. from my house). I mainly go to the former because it's big, has pretty scenery (it's surrounded by a nature preserve), and I like the way it's organized. It's only when I can't find a book I want at the county library that I go to the city one. I am glad I have access to both (and for free). I agree, though - I'd go to ANY library right now. I miss borrowing books.

Right? Whenever my kids say they're bored, I tell them to read a book. If they would just get hooked on reading, they would never be bored! Only one of my four is a big bookworm, weirdly enough.

Actually, not even half of my home library is shown in the photo - it's scattered around my house. Believe it or not, my desk bookshelves are full of YA and MG review books ONLY and it was several years ago that I organized them that way. Crazy, huh?

Interestingly, a couple years ago the prophet/president of my church started a campaign promoting "church-supported, family-centered" worship and study. The Church had been implementing that philosophy slowly and then, WHAM. This happens. Now, each family is encouraged to have their own worship meetings in their homes. We don't invite other people because of the quarantine, but we do meet together as a family and spend about an hour singing hymns, studying scriptures, having Gospel discussions, praying, etc. It's been nice, although we do miss seeing our church family every week.

I'm glad other churches are making an effort to live stream and broadcast services. Faith is even more important at this crazy time.

My home library is ridiculous, especially the part that is in (SEVENTY) file boxes. Yikes! I never run out of things to read, though. I also donate books to the library after I read them, but there are always more coming in than going out ...
