I haven't read MOTHER MAY I yet, but I did read NEVER HAVE I EVER. It was a page-turner, but it lacked the unique style that Jackson brings to her Southern women's fiction, so I was a little disappointed in that that. NEVER HAVE I EVER just felt a little generic, like it could have been written by ANY thriller writer. I hope Jackson goes back to her Southern women's fiction roots soon. That's what I like best from her.

Yes, you definitely should! Her books are great. They're compelling mysteries, but they're really more about the characters and their relationships with each other.

I really liked WE ARE ALL THE SAME IN THE DARK. I don't know if I can say the same about THE WRONG FAMILY, but it's a book I've definitely thought about a lot since finishing it.

The interesting thing about Penny's books is that they are compelling mysteries, BUT they're really more about the characters and their relationships with each other. I wouldn't necessarily say they're impossible to put down because they make me want to linger over them. Does that make any sense??

I have lots of time on my hands on most days, so I often read books in a day, depending on their length and content. I love the feeling of getting THAT caught up in a great story!
