I always do Literary Escapes and Goodreads. I did Pop Sugar once, and it was really challenging, but I found a lot of the prompts pointing to books I didn't want to read. That 52 one looks great though. I am feeling the prompts.

I don't do reading challenges - that involves actual reading. I don't read enough to complete any challenge.

I think reading challenges are great for people but not for me. My one and only reading challenge is to read one book a month, so far, it's been a little challenging since I keep starting a book and not finish it.

Oh boy, I have TOTALLY plagiarized my two posts for the two reading challenges I plan to do...I might need to go redo them, although neither one has come back yet to say anything...but I did link them as well and it is OBVIOUSLY their work. I always do the Goodreads Challenge, the past 2 years I have set it at 150 and passed it, so will be setting it for 200 in 2022, or maybe I should do 222 LOL. I have heard a lot about the Popsugar challenge but never seen the prompts. I am doing the Nerdy Bookworm's challenge, and the Mount TBR challenge, and still trying to figure out the rest! Well, I am in the same boat as you, as I just copy and paste, indicating who is hosting the challenge. Thankfully, the only one I am doing next year is my annual Goodreads challenge. It has been years since I've actually completed one, other than my Goodreads goal, and since next year will be crazy with work, I am not pushing myself.

Whoa, that's a lot of challenges! I usually just do the Goodreads challenge, but this year I actually came across a Hanukkah readathon, so I'm doing that one as well. I'm thrilled because it's the first time I've ever seen one of those.

I’m thinking about giving a non-fiction challenge a go. Next year will be my first full year on the blog, so I’m trying to decide now what I should commit to.

Hang on, hang on, go back a second, who cuts down a decorated tree?? who...why...WHAT. That feels like, local news channel worthy weirdness. I'm going to have to believe it was some poor parent -- figuratively and literally poor -- who had no holiday decorations and wanted to surprise their kids with a Christmas miracle. That's the only acceptable answer.

Personally I like to stick to just one reading challenge* -- Mount TBR. Love community solidarity encouraging me to READ THE BOOKS I ALREADY HAVE (the literary equivalent of "we have food at home" while my brain is yelling "McDonald's! McDonald's!" Or in this case, "The library! The liiibrary!"). But I'm impressed by the breadth of your challenges!

*Two if I'm brave enough to take on a genuine challenge: read ONLY 52 books (at most) and try to enrich my reading experience for each one -- write an actual journal entry w/ personal reflection beyond the review, look up author interview, carefully choose books I think will be 4 if not 5 stars in the first place, etc. I dunno if I ever WILL...but it's a fun thought.

Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving! I haven't done challenges the last few years but I've been thinking about getting back into. I'm kind of interested in the Nonfiction and Cozy ones...

Sorry to hear you ran into trouble, not that I have any clue what you were doing wrong, you might've thought people would be pleased with the free advert!

I'm still trying to decide on the two or three challenges I'll do next year. I'm thinking of going back to the European and maybe trying a classics one if I can find one that suits. So I'll be keeping an eye on your challenge blog!

That's a lot of good challenges to pick from. I will do Goodreads because I always do, but I'm not sure I'll do any others.

The only reading challenge I've stuck with this year is the Reading Christie 2021 challenge from the official Agatha Christie website. They haven't announced the prompts for next year, but I will be doing it again. It's a great way to work my way through her collection without feeling overwhelmed.

I haven't decided if I'm going to do any reading challenges in 2022 yet but will definitely look into all of these because they sound like fun ones.

Whoa! Those are a lot of reading challenges. They each sound fun in their own way. I might pick up a couple more challenges next year. I don't know. I sometimes feel overwhelmed when I sign up for too many.

I am going to do Literary Escapes, Nonfiction, and Popsugar as well. I think I'll add in one promt-oriented challenge as well.

My usual annual routine - get excited about the reading challenges I read about (like I am feeling right now regarding a few here, well, all here), sigh up for them enthusiastically and announce that this will be the year I complete them.. And then, well, I read a lot of books but completely forget about the challenges :-) Maybe I do actually read books that will help me complete them but I never know for I stop tracking..
Maybe this year will be the magic year..
