2024 Literary Escapes Challenge

2024 Build Your Library Reading Challenge

Exclusive Features
A few things you'll only find here at BBB:
Arizona Authors
The Grand Canyon state is home to some great writers. I try to give them some extra love when I read their books, so you'll see this button on reviews of books written by Arizona authors. You can find those I've already read by using the search bar or Labels drop-down menu (look under "Arizona Authors") on BBB's home page.
Latter-day Saint Authors
I'm a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I always get excited when I find books written by someone who is also a member. Reviews of books by Latter-day Saint authors will carry the above button. You can find these reviews by using the search bar or Labels drop-down menu (look for "LDS Authors") on BBB's home page.
Mormon Mentions
This one doesn't have a fancy button, but when I come across references to the Church in books written by non-members, I highlight them in posts I call Mormon Mentions. It's my chance to explain principles of my religion, clear up misconceptions, laugh at my sometimes crazy Church culture, and basically offer my insider's view on all things Mormon. Search "Mormon Mentions" to find these posts.
If you find a reference to my religion in a book and would like me to address it, feel free to email me at: blogginboutbooksATgmailDOTcom

Comments make me feel special, so go crazy! Just keep it clean and civil. Feel free to speak your mind (I always do), but be aware that I will delete any offensive comments.
P.S.: Don't panic if your comment doesn't show up right away. I have to approve each one before it posts to prevent spam. It's annoying, but it works!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteDo you have an archive for your blog, i.e. by year and month? I don't see it.
Thanks.
Hi JJ! My blog is in the middle of being re-designed, so it's a little topsy-turvy at the moment. The Archives gadget is not on the page at the moment, but it will return. Check back in a week or so. Hopefully, the re-design will be finished by then.
DeleteOk, thanks.
DeleteI now see the Blog Archive but just to let you know, it isn't working. When you click on a month it doesn't take you to it.
Regards.
Can I just say what an absolutely stunning blog you have? The colours/fonts/pictures are so beautiful! You can really tell you've put a lot of care and effort in to it <3 x
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks so much! I appreciate the kind words, Amy.
DeleteGreat topic change!! I love the cover for Tress! I actually did the kickstarter and have the leatherbound ones. I still need to read it though. lol
